From the first email to the final hug, Alexia and Rob’s wedding was a beautiful example of intentionality, heart, and meaningful connection. Every element of their day—whether the thoughtful treasured family traditions or the carefully selected vintage transport—spoke to the kind of couple they are: kind, creative, and deeply connected to their people.

The day began at The Xara Palace in Mdina, where Rob got ready in the quiet elegance of the old city. These “groom getting ready” moments are often underestimated, but Rob’s preparation time was full of genuine emotion, calm excitement, and warmth. He was joined by his parents and groomsmen, keeping the atmosphere light and grounded before the whirlwind of the day kicked off.

Meanwhile, over in Bahrija, Alexia was surrounded by love, light, and the comforting familiarity of her mum’s home. The bride’s preparations were layered with emotion—her mother’s presence was not just a detail but a central piece of the story. Capturing Alexia stepping out from her mum’s house, fully dressed and ready to begin this new chapter, was a moment that felt truly special. It mattered to her, and it mattered to her mum—and that made it matter to me.

Their humanist ceremony at Olive Gardens was heartfelt and personal, surrounded by friends and family from all over the world—including guests from the UK, Australia, Netherlands, USA, and Belgium. It was clear that every person there was deeply loved.

After the ceremony, we slipped away to Mdina for a quiet moment together and a short photoshoot, just Alexia, Rob, and the timeless limestone streets. Those photos ended up being some of my favourites from the day—spontaneous, romantic, and full of authenticity.

As the sun dipped lower, we returned to Olive Gardens for the reception. The setup was a charming mix of formal tables and relaxed food stations, with music from the Kevin Paul Band filling the air. Decorations were a joint effort between professional vendors and handmade touches by Alexia and her mum—a beautiful symbol of the way this couple poured themselves into every part of the day.

Alexia and Rob—thank you for inviting me into your story. You were kind, relaxed, and fully present with one another and your loved ones. Your wedding was full of character, joy, and meaning, and I’m honoured to have captured it.
