If Day One was a graceful symphony of elegance and emotion, Day Two of Ricky and Braxton’s wedding was a vibrant, joyful explosion of colour, tradition, and fierce love. Held in the lush, sun-dappled gardens of Villa Bologna, this day celebrated not only their union, but the beauty of two distinct cultures coming together in harmony — Indian and Afro-Eurasian, Hindu and Christian — united in joy and ceremony.

Baraat, Dhols & A Grand Entrance

The day began with energy pulsing through the streets of Attard. As Ricky’s Baraat arrived at Villa Bologna, it was a feast for the senses: the rhythm of Dhol drummers, the bright costumes of stilt walkers, flares colouring the air, and the smooth glide of a vintage white car delivering the groom. It was theatrical, it was traditional, and it was undeniably unforgettable.

At the gate, the Milni ceremony offered a moment of symbolic welcome and respect between the two families — a powerful bridge between cultures that set the tone for the entire day.

A Garden Ceremony Under the Maltese Sun

The ceremony, held beneath the shade of Villa Bologna’s iconic Mandeep, was filled with meaning. Both Ricky and Braxton walked down the aisle surrounded by loved ones, and once again pledged their commitment — this time in a setting deeply influenced by Ricky’s Indian heritage, vibrant florals, and ritual symbolism.

The ceremony’s beauty was quickly followed by group portraits, starting with shots surrounded by the aisle florals (before they were moved to the evening garden setting). These images captured not only family and friendship, but legacy and cultural pride.

Champagne, Canapés & A Sunset Party Vibe

As guests enjoyed drinks and gourmet canapés, we took a few private moments with the couple around the villa’s blooming gardens and limestone backdrops. Their chemistry — easy, playful, deeply romantic — made every frame sing.

Guests then moved to the back garden, transformed into an open-air celebration space filled with food stations, laughter, and clinking glasses. At 7:20 PM, Ricky and Braxton made their epic entrance to 50 Cent’s “In Da Club”, dancing through a pathway lined with ten pyrotechnic sparklers — a moment so electric, it set the tone for what was to come.

Dancing, Speeches & a Surprise Paella Station

As the sun set over the Maltese sky, dinner was served family-style — a nod to warmth, togetherness, and shared stories. Ricky’s speech was heartfelt and honest, followed by a sweet moment from the Father of the Groom.

Then, Braxton stole the show once more with an Indian dance performance — bold, expressive, and met with wild applause.

The dance floor opened soon after, and from that moment, the night became a blur of rhythm, celebration, and connection. Late into the evening, guests were treated to a surprise Paella Station, a nod to the couple’s love of food and travel.

The bars closed at midnight — but the energy of the night lingered long after, echoing in the laughter, the dancing, and the unforgettable memories created in the moonlit gardens of Villa Bologna.
