Some love stories unfold quietly, gracefully, and with such sincerity that photographing them feels less like work and more like witnessing something sacred. Jaclyn and Skylar’s elopement at Palazzo Parisio in Naxxar was exactly that — intimate, elegant, and full of genuine emotion.

Jaclyn and Skylar first reached out to me from California, sharing the story of how they met in 2021 and how an adventurous move to New York City shaped their early relationship. Their engagements in Barcelona and Italy — yes, on back-to-back days — said everything about who they are: playful, heartfelt, and deeply connected.

When they told me they were eloping in Malta, I knew this was going to be special.

Their ceremony would be small, just the two of them, held in the ornate gardens of Palazzo Parisio, one of Malta’s most romantic venues. Accompanied by the violin of Maria Cini and officiated by Marthese Farrugia Turban, the atmosphere was everything an elopement should be: warm, personal, and meaningful.

Transport was coordinated through Elite Transport by Gienju Garage, completing the seamless flow of the day.

I arrived slightly before the ceremony to capture their arrival — the anticipation, the quiet moments, the stolen glances. Palazzo Parisio never disappoints: the soft golden tones, the lush gardens, the ornate details… it’s a dream backdrop for an intimate celebration.

At 2:30 p.m., Jaclyn and Skylar stood together under the Maltese November light, exchanging vows that felt private yet profoundly emotional. Their ceremony was short, simple, and perfect for who they are.

After the ceremony, we took a relaxed walk through the charming streets around Palazzo Parisio. Naxxar’s warm stone alleys, classic Maltese balconies, and gentle afternoon light made the perfect canvas for their portraits.

As always, I focused on what matters most — authentic connection, effortless movement, and natural emotion. With just the two of them, the session felt unhurried and genuine. They laughed, embraced, whispered things only they could hear. It was beautiful to photograph.

Jaclyn and Skylar chose Malta not for grandeur, but for the experience — a deeply intentional moment in their journey together. And that’s what makes elopements so unique: it’s not about the size of the celebration, but the depth of the connection.

It was an honour to document their story and to be part of such a meaningful day.
