Jean and Samaya’s wedding day was a celebration filled with emotion, personality, and unforgettable moments. From a heartfelt ceremony overlooking Balluta Bay to an evening of music, dancing, and spectacular entertainment at Montekristo, their wedding was a beautiful reflection of who they are and the people they love.

The day began in Msida, where preparations unfolded in two homes only moments apart. There was an unmistakable excitement in the air as the final touches came together. Samaya was surrounded by family and friends while her bridal look was brought to life by Anna Sant, Maria Mizzi, Elizabeth Darmanin, and the team at Zodiac Gżira. Every detail reflected the elegance and joy that would define the rest of the day.

As guests gathered at the iconic Balluta Church, anticipation continued to build. One particularly special detail was the presence of Samaya’s classroom children, who had been invited to witness the ceremony. Their excitement and smiles added an extra layer of warmth to an already emotional occasion.

Accompanied by the beautiful music of the Pamela Bezzina Trio, Jean and Samaya exchanged vows surrounded by family, friends, and the people who matter most. For Samaya, the emotions of the ceremony were one of the moments she had most looked forward to, while Jean had been eagerly anticipating their first dance later that evening. Both moments would become highlights of a truly memorable day.

Following the ceremony, the celebrations moved to Montekristo, where guests were welcomed into a vibrant and beautifully styled reception designed by Commander Jay, with floral arrangements by Flowers by Anna Zammit. The setting immediately set the tone for an evening that was full of surprises and entertainment.

One of the first highlights was the unique savoury wedding cake — a spectacular cheesecake creation that later transformed into a cheese station for guests to enjoy. Together with a champagne tower, it created a memorable focal point during the early part of the reception and perfectly reflected the couple’s desire to do things their own way.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed an incredible culinary experience with multiple food stations and continuous entertainment. Music by Versatile kept the atmosphere lively, while a series of performances ensured there was never a dull moment. From the spot artist creating live artwork to performances by Mike Spiteri, Claudette Buttigieg, and later Ira Losco, the evening unfolded like a celebration and concert combined.

At 9:30pm, Jean and Samaya finally shared the moment they had both been waiting for — their first dance to “Time of My Life” from Dirty Dancing. Surrounded by cheering family and friends, it was a moment full of joy and emotion that perfectly captured the spirit of the day.

The celebrations continued late into the night, with dancing, laughter, and unforgettable performances carrying the energy right through to the final cake cutting before Ira Losco took the stage. Every element of the wedding had been carefully planned by The Event Specialist, yet the day never felt staged. Instead, it felt genuine, personal, and full of life.

What stood out most about Jean and Samaya’s wedding was the incredible sense of togetherness. Whether it was the classroom children celebrating outside the church, family gathering around the dance floor, or friends singing along late into the evening, every part of the day was centred around shared joy and meaningful connections.
