I had the joy of capturing Nicole and Jurgen’s incredible wedding day, a celebration that flowed effortlessly between timeless elegance, heartfelt emotion, and the vibrant energy of their love story.
The day began early in the heart of Valletta, where both Nicole and Jurgen got ready together at Dar il-Kavallier, a beautifully restored townhouse filled with warm morning light and quiet anticipation. My second photographer, Ian, was there to document the intimate preparations, the final touches of hair and makeup, the laughter between friends, and the subtle details that make every wedding morning so personal.
Nicole’s Eva Marie dress was a masterpiece of grace and simplicity, paired perfectly with delicate Sarah Gauci jewellery and soft, romantic makeup by Danilo. Her hair, styled by Rodianne Cassar, complemented the modern yet timeless aesthetic of the day. Even Jurgen’s details — from his embroidered bow tie to custom socks — carried a touch of sentimentality that reflected how much thought went into every aspect of the celebration.
The ceremony took place at the stunning Palazzo Parisio, where the golden tones of the Naxxar palace created a breathtaking setting for their vows. Music by Maria Cini filled the courtyard, while Nicole and Jurgen exchanged promises surrounded by the warmth of family and friends. After the ceremony, we explored the palace gardens and halls for portraits that balanced documentary authenticity with a touch of classic grandeur.
From there, the couple and their guests made their way to The Chophouse for an elegant lunch reception overlooking the Valletta skyline. As the afternoon light shimmered across the Grand Harbour, the newlyweds shared their first dance to “Can’t Help Falling in Love” — a timeless melody that felt written just for them. The music of Lara and the Jukeboys, Claudette Buttigieg, and DJ Andrew Barthet carried the evening forward into a lively afterparty, full of laughter, clinking glasses, and unfiltered joy.
The day concluded in true Maltese style — with a joyful stop at Serkin, a simple but perfect way to end such a meaningful celebration.
Throughout the day, the décor by Bali Stuff and floral artistry by Seven Petals Floral Studio added natural beauty and texture to every moment, while Sherese Frendo’s live painting captured the scene on canvas — a lasting, tangible memory of their day.
Nicole and Jurgen’s wedding was everything I love to photograph: heartfelt, elegant, and full of life. It was a story told not just through grand gestures, but through the small, quiet in-between moments — a glance, a laugh, a touch — that truly define love.
Congratulations once again to Nicole and Jurgen — it was an honour to document your beautiful day. 💛
