There are some weddings that stay with you long after the last song fades and Chiara and Ian’s celebration at Ta’ Betta Winery was one of those beautiful days that felt like a story unfolding in golden light, laughter, and love.
From the moment I arrived at the groom’s house in Siggiewi, where Ian and his groomsmen were getting ready, there was an easy calm — a sense of joyful anticipation (and a few jokes about how much Ian was already looking forward to the food!). The morning light poured gently through the windows, creating the perfect setting for those quiet, timeless moments before everything began.
Meanwhile, at Ta’ Rita in Għar Lapsi, Chiara was surrounded by an atmosphere of serene excitement. Bernice styled Chiara’s hair to perfection and her gown from Weddingbells was an absolute dream — elegant and effortlessly romantic, just like her.
As the afternoon sun softened, guests began to gather at Ta’ Betta Winery, a truly stunning venue that seemed made for this occasion. The ceremony space, beautifully styled by Golden Edge and enhanced by the floral magic of Meme’s, felt intimate and full of warmth. The sounds of Maria Cini on violin and guitar filled the air as Chiara made her entrance — a moment of pure emotion that I was privileged to capture through my lens.
The ceremony itself was heartfelt and genuine, the kind where every smile, tear, and glance says more than words ever could. And when Chiara and Ian finally said “I do,” you could feel the joy ripple through everyone present.
Afterward, we explored the vineyards and grounds of Ta’ Betta for their photoshoot, capturing the golden hues of the Maltese countryside as the couple shared quiet moments together for the first time as husband and wife.
The reception followed, filled with laughter, great food, and the kind of energy that defines a truly good celebration. Visage Sound, with DJ Aldo, kept the evening flowing perfectly, while Jurgen and Francesca Scerri Gill coordinated every detail with care and precision.
Chiara and Ian’s first dance — to “Cocciu d’amuri” by Lello Analfino — was tender, romantic, and uniquely them. When I asked what they were most looking forward to on their wedding day, Chiara smiled and said, “When we’ll finally be husband and wife…” while Ian quickly added with a grin, “the food!” — a moment that perfectly captures their personalities: heartfelt, down-to-earth, and full of joy.
It was a privilege to document this beautiful day — a day filled with authenticity, laughter, and love that will surely linger in memory for years to come.
