Last Saturday I had the joy of documenting Polly & Ned’s wedding – a day filled with elegance, emotion, and pure joy. From the very first moment, it was clear that their wedding wasn’t just a celebration, but a true reflection of who they are as a couple: warm, stylish, and surrounded by love.
The day began with Polly’s preparations at the Corinthia Attard. The room buzzed with excitement as she got ready, her stunning gown from Aurora Bride London hanging elegantly by the window. With hair styled by Dean Gera and makeup by the talented Julia Bachesque, Polly radiated timeless beauty.
The couple exchanged vows at the historic Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Sliema. Surrounded by family and friends, the moment they first saw each other as Polly walked down the aisle was breathtaking. Their request for an “unplugged ceremony” allowed everyone to be fully present – a decision that made the atmosphere feel even more intimate and heartfelt.
After the ceremony, we moved to their family home in Lija, where the gardens set the perfect backdrop for portraits. Guests enjoyed cocktails in the sunshine while Polly and Ned shared quiet moments together – their joy effortlessly shining through in every frame.
As the evening unfolded, guests gathered at the elegant Villa Bologna Restaurant for a beautiful sit-down dinner. The timeless architecture and Mediterranean charm created the perfect setting for speeches, laughter, and clinking glasses.
After dinner, the celebration continued back at the Lija house, where the garden transformed into a lively dance floor. Polly & Ned’s first dance to Thinking of You by Sister Sledge set the tone for a night full of energy, with friends and family joining in to dance under the Maltese sky. Watching their parents smile with pride and happiness was one of the most touching parts of the evening.
