Vanessa and Christopher’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of elegance, emotion, and timeless Maltese charm — a celebration that unfolded between the quiet character of Lija and the grand setting of the Grand Hotel Excelsior.

The day began in the heart of Lija, where both bride and groom prepared only moments away from each other. There was a calm anticipation in the air as the final touches came together. Vanessa wore a stunning gown by Ivory & Co, complemented by refined makeup by Amanda Greaves, elegant hairstyling by Justin & Mark, and rings crafted by Clement. Every detail reflected the understated elegance that defined the day.

Their ceremony took place at the beautiful Lija Parish Church, accompanied by the voice of Pamela Bezzina, whose music added warmth and emotion to an already meaningful celebration. One of the moments Vanessa had most looked forward to was exiting the church together as newlyweds, while Christopher had been waiting for the moment he would see her walk down the aisle — and both moments lived up to every expectation.

Following the ceremony, we stayed in Lija for the couple portraits, allowing the afternoon to unfold at a relaxed pace. The village offered the perfect backdrop: timeless streets, traditional Maltese architecture, and one particularly special location — the Lija Tower, to which the couple had exclusive access for the day. The elevated views and historic setting added a unique dimension to the portraits while keeping everything deeply connected to the place where their story was unfolding.

As evening approached, celebrations continued at the Grand Hotel Excelsior, where guests gathered for an elegant reception overlooking the harbour. The venue was beautifully styled by Isle Events Decor, with floral arrangements by Anna Zammit, creating an atmosphere that felt both refined and welcoming. Guests arrived to live performances by Claudia Faniello, setting the tone for a joyful evening ahead.

Music carried a special meaning throughout the day. Vanessa and Christopher entered the reception to “You Send Me”, shared their first dance to “Bla Tarf”, and continued the celebration with “Until I Found You” — songs that perfectly reflected the emotion and journey of their relationship.

As the evening progressed, family and friends filled the dance floor, celebrating late into the night before the final moments around the cake cutting brought the day to a close.

What stood out most about Vanessa and Christopher’s wedding was how personal it felt. Every decision — from staying in Lija for the portraits to incorporating meaningful music throughout the celebration — reflected who they are. It was a day built around family, emotion, and enjoying every moment together.
